CIVIC ENGAGEMENT WORKSHOP on Friday, September 29th at San Bernardino Valley College Room B-100 from 10am-12pm. This event will feature Rocio Aguayo, community civic engagement activist, speaking about the importance of the youth to get involved, the San Bernardino Office of Elections will discuss registering to vote and the different ways to vote, and the Fair Political Practices Commission will discuss the importance of keeping elected officials accountable, how to file to run for public office, and ways to make sure you have a clean campaign. Parking will be available across the street at the swap meet parking lot.
REDEMPTION: PROP 47 APPLICATION WORKSHOP on Friday, October 6th at United Nations of Consciousness in the City of San Bernardino from 6:00pm- 7:30pm. The workshop will assist eligible residents in their preparation of a Prop 47 petition. Prop 47 passed by over 60 percent of California voters, it allows for the reduction of a felony conviction under specific circumstances that do not exceed $950.
FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH AND RESOURCE FAIR on Saturday, October 7th at Ayala Park in Bloomington from 10am-2pm. The event program will include a legislative update, health screenings, dental screenings, nutrition information, community resources and more.
