ABOUT THE CITY OF COLTON

The City of Colton, known as the "Hub" city was founded on business and enterprise in 1887.

A decision to locate your business in the City of Colton is well founded. Strategically located in the heart of the fastest growing region in the United States, California's Inland Empire, the City of Colton encompasses approximately 18 square miles of fertile valley nestled against the scenic San Gorgonio Mountains. Available land and a "can-do" attitude towards economic development make Colton attractive for successful relocation and new enterprise.

With a comprehensive transportation network, a skilled, ready-to-work labor pool, a viable partnership between business and City Government, city owned utilities, available land, affordable house, and a "can-do" attitude towards economic development; Colton is the obvious choice for your business address.

The City of Colton and Colton Chamber of Commerce will continue to build on the solid foundation of business and enterprise established over 100 years ago, while preserving our rich history and long standing community values.

Our goal has always been and continues to be the balance of progress with preservation.

 HISTORY OF THE CHAMBER

The Colton Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of preserving the competitive free enterprise system, promoting economic growth and development, and creating more intelligent business and public opinion regarding city, county, state and national legislative affairs. As the public relations arm of the City of Colton's Redevelopment Agency, we are in close contact with both new and existing businesses.

The combined efforts of our membership, drawing from a community-wide pool of resources, provide an opportunity to make a difference far beyond our individual spheres of influence.

We invite you to become a member of the Colton Chamber of Commerce. Our goal is to be a resource for you and to provide the services you desire. Our Executive Board meets monthly, on the second Tuesday of each month. The members of the Executive Board also serve as our legislative committee.

Our Board of Directors meets monthly, on the 2nd Thursday of the month for a luncheon/business meeting. We have a broad range of industry, manufacturing, professional and retail businesses represented on our Board of Directors.

Support of the Colton Chamber of Commerce through sponsorship, participation, and membership is a valuable contribution to a viable and proactive organization of community and business members sharing a common belief in the importance of our area's economic, community, and business interests. Come join in!
